Trucks from all over

The Port of Halifax attracts truck traffic of all sorts. There are containers, heavy and oversize loads and some of the trucks come from far away. In the last few weeks I've seen quite a variety, most with step deck trailers.

APT Transport Inc of Winnipeg has been advertising for owner operators, and this mid-rise International appears to be an O/O rig. The curtain in the windshield is a traditional decoration for trucks in India.

RRA Trucking of Surrey, BC, also with a step deck trailer had this basic white Freightliner and mid-rise sleeper.

GTI Group from Lachine, QC has a fleet of Peterbilts with a distinctive paint scheme.  Another step deck, but this one is carrying a well shrouded oversize object.

Gunson Trucking appears to be a one truck company based in the southwestern Ontario farming community of Tara. It runs this beefy Western Star, in Halifax to pick up a new Fendt 828 Vario farm tractor from Germany.

Speaking of Western Stars, Total Transport + Rigging / Mills Heavy Hauling of Halifax runs this veteran 'Star with drop axle.

It was down in the port to pick up a new 45 tonne capacity reach / stacker built by the Chinese company XCMG.

XCMG stands for Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group.
