All wheel drives - big and small

The biggest big truck I saw while in Quebec this summer was this monster boom truck. It is operated by Transport Clermont Inc, a crane and equipment rental company.

According to the company's web site it is a Foremost Delta 3, an all wheel drive with a 15 ton payload capacity. The boom crane is a National rated at 18 tons SWL. Foremost, based in Calgary, produces a variety of all terrain vehicles, catering to the oil industry.

Once back in Halifax I spotted this peculiar AWD schoolie - surely a rarity. It must be an interesting place where school buses need to be AWD to go about their appointed rounds.
